Repair makes sense when the robot is otherwise navigating well and the problem is modular (battery, wheel, brush motor) under the threshold-especially if you want to preserve mapping and automation. Replace becomes the better choice when sensor faults recur, the unit can't map reliably, or multiple dock subsystems fail (self-empty plus wash/dry), since combined parts and labor can climb fast.
