Boosted's Stealth is a legacy high-performance electric skateboard. "RLOD" (red light of death) is widely associated with battery/BMS faults that can render the pack unsafe or unusable.
Because batteries are the dominant cost and safety risk, the repair-vs-replace decision often hinges on whether a known-good replacement pack is available and whether the rest of the drivetrain is healthy. Repair can make sense when the failure is clearly the battery pack and you can source a reputable replacement, and when motors, belts, wheels, and ESC are otherwise solid.
Replacement becomes more attractive when parts availability is poor, when the ESC overheats or cuts out, or when multiple electrical issues stack up near the threshold. As a safety practice, avoid charging unattended, stop using a pack that swells or gets unusually hot, and treat persistent battery warning lights as a reason to retire or professionally service the board.
